What can I expect from my visit?

A comprehensive medical history, laboratory evaluation and diagnostic testing as needed will be done during the initial one-hour office visit. An individualized program of natural medications and therapy may be prescribed. We strive to provide the least invasive and most cost-effective approach to resolving your health concerns.

Acupuncture Policy

The Center for Natural Medicine, LLC provides acupuncture by licensed Naturopathic physicians, licensed acupuncturists, and licensed doctors of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  Our acupuncture services are an out-of-pocket cost.  This means, acupuncture will not be submitted to your insurance and you are responsible for the fee at the time of service.  Each insurance policy is different, and each insurance carrier has varying criteria for submitting this service.  For these reasons we will not bill your insurance for acupuncture services.  A statement, or a Super bill, with the relevant information for submitting will be provided to you upon request.

The Center for Natural Medicine, LLC, and its licensed professionals, reserve the right to bill for this service based on the time and complexity spent with each individual patient, assessment of presenting complaint, review of health history, and acupuncture treatment.

Cancellation policy

The Center for Natural Medicine practices patient-centered medicine, which requires that we scheduled adequate visit time with our patients. Due to the extensive length of your visit, we require 24-hour notification of your cancellation to allow us time to schedule another patient during that time period. There is a $40.00 charge for missed visits, or visits that are canceled with less than 24-hour notification.

We cannot accept Medicare or any insurance plan that is secondary to Medicare. We are considered a specialist and cannot be a primary care provider. Each insurance company has various plans and policies, therefore, not all policies cover Naturopathic physicians. It is recommended that you call your insurance provider to verify your coverage prior to your appointment. We suggest that you familiarize yourself with your insurance policy so you can better understand what is covered and what your financial responsibilities are. If you have a deductible you may have to pay up to 100% of your visits and/or lab work until your deductible is met. After you have seen one of our physicians we will bill your insurance. If any co-pay or deductible, etc. is due we will bill you. The Center for Natural Medicine is not responsible for the costs of any tests, deductibles, coinsurance, or co-pays incurred by the patient.

Supplement Purchases

As naturopathic physicians, it is our obligation to provide therapeutics that are high quality, safe and reliable. In an effort to ensure the supplements you use meet these criteria it is critical to use good judgment when purchasing them.

We carry most products that we recommend in our clinic dispensary, and carry only highly reputable brands that are produced under independent quality control procedures and have shown us efficacy in clinical practice. When our dispensary does not have the product that we recommend for you, we will provide alternative sources for purchase such as through fullscript.com (online resource that links you to one of our distributors), or the local supplement shops listed below.

We do not recommend shopping on Amazon.com or other online retail supplement suppliers as there are many counterfeit products on these sites. While sometimes these sites offer the most cost effective options for purchase, we simply can not ensure product safety. If you do purchase products outside of our recommended sources, we are not liable for any harm incurred or poor health outcomes. The local shops listed below carry high quality supplements and will special order your supplements if they do not carry what you need. It is important, however, to only get the product recommended during your visit, including the brand and dose.
